9 February 2010 - AfriDeed reaches 2000 registered users
A real milestone for AfriDeed. We now have 2000 registered users using our solution making us one of the leading providers of Deeds Office and Property Information in South Africa.
1 February 2010 - AfriDeed & Lexpro join forces to better service the Attorney market
AfriDeed has joined forces with Lexpro, one of the leading providers of Attorney software to better service the Attorney market. Lexpro will not only be marketing the AfriDeed solution amongst their clients but will also be integrating our Deeds Office Web Service into the new version of their software allowing attorneys to perform deeds office searches from within the Lexpro software.
23 December 2009 - AfriDeed launches new look website
Whilst everybody else is on holiday, we are hard at work bringing you a more informative website. We have launched our new look website that contains much more information about our services and products.
31 October 2009 - AfriDeed website reaches 200 000 hits
For the first time since we launched almost a year ago, we have had well over 200 000 hits to our website and more than 10 000 unique visitors for October 2009.
6 September 2009 - AfriDeed launches new Property Information Report
We have launched a new Property Information report with much more property information as well as updated mapping. Our report now also includes municipal valuations.
19 June 2009 - We are the first to offer once-off searches
Until now it was not possible to obtain a deeds office search without registering for an account at a service provider. AfriDeed is the first to offer a once-off search. Just let us know what information you want, pay the amount needed via credit card or bank transfer and get the result.
You can even track the progress of your property or bond registration using our once-off search. Just give us the property or person details and we will ask the Deeds Office about the progress of your property or bond registration.

27 May 2009 - AfriDeed signs deal with Avusa
AfriDeed has signed a deal with Avusa where Avusa will be marketing our Property Information Report via their MyBackYard community sites.

AfriDeed has signed a deal with Property Trader where Property Trader will be marketing our Property Information Report via their marketing channels.
1 April 2009 - AfriDeed Launches Interactive Map Search
AfriDeed is first to offer an interactive map search. Now you can search for a property using our interactive map. This service is currently available FREE OF CHARGE. The main aim of the interactive map search is to aid our clients in finding the correct property.
We have rolled out with Gauteng, Western Cape, Kwazulu / Natal and Free State.
1 April 2009 - Deeds Office Price Increase
Another major Deeds Office price increase came into effect today. AfriDeed, like all the other suppliers had to increase their prices due to this but we're glad to inform you that we've taken part of the increase on the chin and only marginally increased our prices.
We've also introduced our FREE interactive map search as part of our commitment to provide you with the best platform for Deeds Office information at the best price.
20 February 2009 - AfriDeed Presents to Institute of Valuers
During a one day seminar at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways, Sandton, we presented our system to the Northern Branch of the Institute of Valuers. The response was incredible and 40 from the 190 delegates joined AfriDeed within the first week after the seminar.
29 January 2009 - Property Information Report Released
The AfriDeed Property Information Report is released allowing consumers and property professionals to get information about a property from only a street address, sectional scheme details or township/erf.
This report allows people with limited or no knowledge of the Deeds Office to get vital property information. The Property Information report includes a property valuation, deeds office search, location map (where available), Surveyor General (SG) Diagram (where available) and a deed of sale with pre-filled property and owner information.

12 January 2009 - Surveyor General Map Included with Deeds Office Searches
We now include a Surveyor General Map (where available) with our Deeds Office searches. This map shows the highlighted property as well as the surrounding properties including erf numbers.
This feature is provided FREE of charge. You only pay for the Deeds Office Search.
We are busy loading the data for all of South Africa. We currently have Surveyor General Maps available for:
- Gauteng
- Western Cape
- Kwazulu / Natal
- Free State

1 December 2008 - Google Maps integrated with Deeds Office searches
Now you can see where a property is located via our Google Maps integration. If we have the coordinates of the property, we will include a link to Google Maps with the search.
This is a FREE add-on to Deeds Office searches.
25 November 2008 - Automated Valuations Released
We now offer Automated Valuations via AdCheck Mobile. This valuation will give you an estimated value of the property, street summary, recent sales and SAPTG comparables. This is a valuable tool for any property professional. It's also cheaper than those offered by our competition.
20 November 2008 - AfriDeed Release Website Update
Our new website is released. We have completely redesigned our website and included more information about our business. A banner and advertising service is also launched.
19 November 2008 - AfriDeed Explores Opportunities in Mozambique
Jacques Steyn, Managing Director of AfriDeed is spending a week in Mozambique exploring opportunities for AfriDeed Africa.
7 November 2008 - AfriDeed Presents at the ATA
On 6 November 2008, AfriDeed presented a paper on an Electronic Land Information System at the 4th annual conference for the African Proscecutors Association held at Emperor's Palace, Gauteng.
This event was organised by the NPA (National Proscecution Authority) and more than 180 delegates from 23 African countries attended this 4 day event to discuss the criminal justice system on the African continent.
AfriDeed had the privilege to present a brief overview on an Electronic Land Information System to the delegates focusing on providing an all-in-one solution.
